TITLE: CLOSTRIDIUM DIFFICILE: DENTISTRY'S OVERLOOKED THREAT

COURSE FEE:  Complimentary

CREDIT: This continuing education activity is designated for 1 CE Credit

EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT: Dr. Jen Natural Oral Care

COURSE SUMMARY: In a dramatic twist of fate, our Chief Education Officer and Speaker, Dr. Roling nearly lost her life to a Clostridium difficile infection following a routine periodontal procedure. Her personal battle is a warning call: once dismissed as “a bad case of diarrhea” from antibiotics...C. difficile has rapidly become an urgent public health threat—and it’s knocking on the door of every dental practice. With a staggering 15% mortality rate in the first 30 days and at least one recurrence in 25% of survivors, this is a hazard the dental community can no longer afford to overlook.

Join us for a powerful, eye-opening live CE webinar where Dr. Roling will share her life-saving insights. Learn how this highly virulent organism spreads, who is most at risk, and—most importantly—how you can protect your patients and team through targeted infection control measures and effective antibiotic stewardship. Discover the tools you need to stop C. difficile before it disrupts your practice and devastates lives.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Discuss the pathogenesis, clinical features, and current trends in virulence and prevalence of Clostridium difficile (Clostridioides difficile) and C. difficile diseases.

  • Identify populations at increased risk for C. difficile infection.

  • Describe ways C. difficile can be transmitted.

  • Apply key principles and develop a specific strategy for infection control and prevention of C. difficile infection within the dental practice, including administrative controls, environmental cleaning, and antimicrobial stewardship.

Make the critical choice to safeguard your patients, your practice, and yourselves. Register now for “Clostridium difficile – Dentistry’s Overlooked Threat” and be part of the movement that keeps dentistry safe.
