SUMMARY: Dry socket (alveolar osteitis)
is one of the most painful and frustrating complications
following tooth extraction, particularly third
molars. It can prolong healing, increase patient
discomfort, and require additional clinical time
and intervention. This course equips dental
professionalswith the knowledge to prevent, identify,
and effectively manage dry socket through
evidencebased protocols and patient centered
strategies. Attendees will explore risk factors, clinical
signs,and preventive measures, as well as the role of
natural oral care products in promoting
post extraction healing and reducing the risk of
