SUMMARY:
This evidence-based
continuing education webinar explores the critical role of
nutrition in oral and systemic health, equipping dental
professionals with clinically relevant strategies to identify,
manage, and communicate nutrition-related risk factors.
Participants will examine how dietary patterns influence the oral
microbiome, caries development, periodontal disease progression,
inflammation, wound healing, xerostomia, and implant success.
The course also
connects nutrition to systemic conditions such as diabetes,
cardiovascular disease, and immune dysfunction—highlighting the
dental professional’s role in early detection and patient
education. Attendees will leave with practical tools to integrate
nutritional screening, risk assessment, and patient communication
into daily clinical workflows.
