Free CE Webinar: Clostridium difficile: Dentistry's Overlooked Threat

Dear Colleague,

In recognition of November C. difficile Awareness Month, we invite you to join us for a free continuing education webinar led by our Chief Education Officer, Dr. Kirsten Roling. After surviving a life-threatening Clostridium difficile infection following a periodontal procedure, Dr. Roling is sounding the alarm on an urgent public health threat that is often under-recognized by the dental profession.

Clostridium difficile (CDI) continues to challenge infection control across healthcare settings, including dental practices. Each year, 500,000 Americans contract CDI, and tragically, it claims the lives of 30,000 (15% within the first 30 days). With antibiotic resistance on the rise, one-third of these deaths are linked to infections that no longer respond to treatment. Dental professionals play a crucial role in preventing CDI through infection control and proper antibiotic stewardship.

Webinar Highlights:

  • Speaker: Dr. Kirsten Roling, Chief Education Officer, Dental CE Academy
  • Cost: Free
  • Credits: 1
  • Duration: 60 minutes
  • AGD PACE Subject Code: 010
