COURSE SUMMARY: A free
online dental continuing education course hosted by Dental CE
Academy that summarizes the history of electronic
cigarette use and the adverse consequences of our patients' oral
and systemic health. Dental clinicians are uniquely positioned
as resources for their patients addicted to nicotine products that
may lead to morbidity/mortality, and poor treatment outcomes.
Electronic cigarettes were developed in 2003, and have quickly
grown in popularity. The dental clinician will receive timely
information regarding e-cigarette safety, prevalence of use, the
culture of vaping, marketing, health care policy, nicotine
addiction, and health implications.
