QUIZ FOR CE CREDIT VERIFICATION: At the conclusion of the webinar, attendees will be redirected to complete a quiz for CE credit. An 80% minimum passing score is required, multiple attempts are permitted, and attendees have 7 days to successfully complete the quiz for CE credit.

DESCRIPTION: Healthcare providers face challenges when reducing oral disease burden to enhance whole-body health. Shared provider knowledge of existing research incorporated into patient education and care plans fosters awareness of options and subsequent actions that may reduce negative health consequences. Growing evidence of the oral-systemic impact fuels the urgency to actively engage patients, as well as the interprofessional community in solution-oriented directions.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • Describe the Presentation of Oral Health vs Oral Disease

  • State the Inflammatory Impact of Periodontal Pathogens on the Body

  • Discuss Evidence-based Oral-Systemic Causal Links vs Increased Risk of Negative Health Consequences

  • Analyze Options to Reduce Pathogenic Oral-Systemic Impact
